Using your Digital Signature

The DSC is used for different aspects like filing GST, income tax return, etc. Due to the security reasons, the DSC is archived on a hardware device, a cryptographic USB token as e-pass. Only the USB token can detain your DSC. The USB token is secured in such a way that it is impotent of storing any other documents.

For the usage of your Digital Signature Certificate follow the listed below step;

1. Before plugging in the USB token, please download and install the electronic pass 2003 token driver.
2. Following the installation plug in the USB token into your PC's USB port and enter the password. You can modify the password on the token by selecting the option "CHANGE USER PIN".
3. When you have signed a document, plug out the USB token from your PC and store it in a secure place. Important: Do not click the delete or initialize button in the electronic pass 2003 driver menu. If you on either delete or initialize button, the DSC will be erased and the token will become ineffective.

Never forget the password for your USB token and never mistakenly enter the incorrect password many times. In case a password is lost or the USB token is locked, there is no way to recover or use the Digital Signature. You will have to buy a new Digital certificate and USB token.

How to register for paperless Digital Signature Certificate.

DSC are the electronic format of physical or paper certificate which establishes the identity of the sender for filing or sending documents via digitally. When a signer digitally signs a document it is same as a handwritten signature that establishes the signee's identity and consent for digital archiving.

In India all the Government administrations accept e-signed documents from the controller of certyfying authorities like N-code, Sify, eMudhra and others.

Identity proof.

1. Scanned copy of passport.
2. Scanned copy of the applicants PAN card.
3. Scanned copy of Driving license.
4. Post office ID card.
5. Passbook of the bank account which contains the scanned passport sized photograph, specimen signature of the individual with the attestation done by concerned Bank authorities.
6. Photo ID card published by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MCA) of the central/state Government.
7. Any photo published by the Government which includes the applicants signature.

Address Proof

1. Aadhar card and voter ID.
2. Scanned copy of Driving license.
3. Latest bank statement signed by the bank/ mobile or telephone bill or gas bill not older than three months.
4. Property Tax/ VAT Tax/ Service Tax/ Sales Tax registration certificate.

Documents necessary for Foreign Nationals.

Listed below are the mandatory documents that are required for foreign nationals while applying for DSC.

Identity Proof.

1. Attested scanned copy of passport.
2. Attested scanned copy of VISA, In the case if the applicant is out of native country.
3. Attested scanned copy of resident permit certificate, if the applicant is in India.

Address Proof

1. Attested scanned copy of passport.
2. Attested scanned copy of any other proof of address which is published by the Government.

For the Foreign Nationals, the listed below authorities must attest the identity proof and address Proof.

1. The authorities of Embassy of the applicants original country. In the case if the applicant is out of the native country.
2. Apostilized by original country, after public notary. In the case if the mother country is in hedge.
