FSSAI Directs Sweet Shop Owners to Display ‘Expiry Date’ for Unpackaged Sweet Products

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made it mandatory for sweet shop owners to display the expiry date for their unpackaged sweet products starting October 1, 2020. The sweet shop owners have also been asked to display manufacturing dates, however, this rule is not mandatory.

FBOs Get More Time from FSSAI for Complying with Food Safety Regulations
28th June: The FSSAI has decided to provide additional time to FBOs (Food Business Operators) and distribution agencies to comply with Food Safety and Standards (Recovery and Distribution of Surplus Food) Regulations, 2019.
